Everything about my experience with Jim was great. if you have opal that needs cut I can't see dealing with anyone else. He's a short drive from the opal mine so it makes it convenient if you find a stone worth cutting (which the odds are pretty good imo if you work). His turn around time was shorter than originally stated and our finds turned out beautifully. My wife and I couldn't be happier.

Just received my opal pendant from Jim. It's absolutely gorgeous! The quality of the gem and the way he set it is perfect! My daughter is going to love it!

My wife and I have done business with CJs Opals for the past 5 years. We have had Jim process raw stones for us and we have bought finished opals as well. He does beautiful work, has a reputation as one of the best at what he does, and is fair and reasonably priced. I couldn't recommend him enough, and he is a pleasure to do business with

The quality of his work was outstanding. We even asked him to cut a natural's stone instead of a triplet in one case and he had no problem with that. But what stood out most for my wife and I was his communication during the process. He would give us updates as to when he started working on our stones, when he was about half way done, and of course once he had finished. 10/10. If and when we go back and get more Spencer opal we will use his skills and services again.
